BEARS: Money Beats Traffic Rules
bears thumbs down FRSC

Last week at Apapa-Oshodi Expressway close to Ottor Wharf bus stop, the men of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) were extorting N50 from commercial buses for driving against the traffic as a result of the gridlock on the road.

These are men whose primary duty is to help direct and control traffic for the benefit of road users but are now defrauding them for their own personal interest. The question is, should challenges like gridlock be a tool for extortion especially from men of FRSC?
