It’s almost six months since the Festac Link Bridge in Awuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State has been crippled following the unfortunates accident that saw a tanker laden with petrol fall, spilling its content as over 20 vehicles and four commercial motorcycles got burnt.

The bridge has become a nightmare for Festac residents and all those who must ply that route daily, so it was a relief that five months after Lagos State Government commenced actual repair work on the distressed Link-Bridge, announcing total closure of the bridge to pave the way for uninterrupted work.

However, little or no work has been recorded on that road leaving the users under perpetual hardship.
