2022 Anchor Nigeria Training Programme Begins On Thursday

The 2022 edition of the Anchor Nigeria Capacity Building programme is scheduled to commence on Thursday this week with an audition and a press conference.

According to the Project Director, Mr. James Shodiya, the event will take place at Rock View Hotel, Festac town, Lagos.

Fifteen cadets as finalists will win a ticket to be on board a ship for a 3-day camping challenge and incubation programme.

Shodiya, who made this known via a press statement issued yesterday, noted that the programme at the camp include; seatime experience, mentorship and leadership development.

“The best cadet wins the Anchor Nigeria to be Nigeria’s maritime Ambassador with amazing cash rewards while the first and second runner up will also go with cash prizes.”

“Our focus and core objective is to re-engineer a new generation of industry practitioners through capacity building, training, camping activities. The Anchor Nigeria will become a bridge builder between the old and new generations of industry professionals,” he said.

He encouraged Nigerian seafarers to maximize the opportunity, even as he expressed optimism that Anchor Nigeria will be a performance testing ground for cadets as well as operational field of learning for the participants.
