AIB Begins Investigation On Max Air Incident, Solicits Public Support
The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has commenced investigation on incident involving Boeing 747-400 of Max Air limited.
The Bureau made the disclosure in a press statement at the weekend.
According to the statement, the aircraft took off King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with 560 passengers and 19 crew members on board.
The Agency urged the public to provide any information that would aid the investigation of the incident.
“As the investigating Agency, AIB needs and hereby solicit for your help. We want the public to know that we would be amendable to receiving any video clip, relevant evidence or information any members of the public may have of the serious incident, that can assist us with this information” it said.
Recall that on September 7th, a Max Air Boeing 747-400 flying as flight NR2092 from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to Minna, Nigeria suffered an engine failure on approach to Minna. The aircraft also sustained minor damage but there were no passenger or crew injuries reported.
