NAAPE Organizes Safety Workshop

National Association of Aircraft Pilots (NAAPE) is organizing a forum with stakeholders to discuss safety and is setting up annual aviation safety awards which the body is planning for both public and private entities in the aviation industry.

The workshop and safety awards, according to National President of the body, Engr. Galadima Abednego, which holds on 28 March, 2019 at Airport Hotel has as theme, “Promoting Aviation Safety in Nigeria”

Abednego noted that the aim of the workshop is to sensitize and abreast industry stakeholders of the Safety Evaluation Index to be applied for the purpose of the NAAPE Annual Safety Award.

The workshop will also serve as a platform to bring together all Nigeria Aviation Stakeholders with the view to interacting and discussing safety related concerns of the aviation industry.

He said, “our members are core drivers of safety in the industry… hence we can partner to improve on the overall industry safety.”

This is also to let the operators know that their successes through safety mean a lot to us as pilots and engineers.

 According to him, airlines are partners and not competitors.

Galadima said that NAAPE recognizes that safety promotion is a key element of state safety program (SSP) and desires to contributes her quota in this regards.
