FG Appoints Bayero As DG Of NITT

 The Federal Government has approved the appointment of Dr. Bayero Salih Farah as the Director General/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria in acting capacity.

 This followed the retirement of Dr. Abimbola O. Odumosu who had been overseeing the affairs of the Institute since March 2018.

This was disclosed in a letter of appointment conveyed to the Registrar by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Alh. Sabiu Zakari.

 Dr. Abimbola O. Odumosu, while speaking at the handling over ceremony, thanked God for His blessings, and also the entire NITT Staff for their support and cooperation during his tenure.

Abimbola while presenting the handover notes to Dr. Bayero Salih Farah, congratulated him and wished him well. He also appealed to the Management and staff of the Institute to accord maximum support and cooperation to the Acting DG/CE in order to move the Institute to a greater height.

In his inaugural address, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah, observed that the auspicious occasion was remarkable in the history of NITT.

He stated that his appointment was a call to service to the nation adding that he would do everything humanly possible to discharge his duties diligently and conscientiously.

He thanked the former DG/CE for his achievements during his tenure and promised to maintain the spirit of camaraderie and brotherhood that characterizes the modus operandi of the Institute during his administration.

Until his new appointment, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah was the Director, Training in the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria.

 An accomplished scholar and administrator per excellence, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah joined the services of the Institute in 1994 as Senior Staff Development Officer and by dint of hard work rose to the position of Director, Training Department in 2013.

He has also been the Special Assistant to former DGs/CEs of the Institute on several occasions.
