The Senator representing Rivers East in the Senate, Andrew Uchendu (APC), has suggested that in order to curb crimes and prevent long-term consequences, senators should dispose three of the five vehicles they each own and use the proceeds to empower the youth.
“Until our youth are engaged, this problem will continue. If we dispose of three of the five vehicles we own and use the proceeds to engage our youth, would it not be better?”were his words.
Although this statement seems unrealistic and difficult to achieve, it is a good advice for politicians who spend a larger percent of the country’s money on peripheral things leaving the masses to suffer the consequences of their corrupt practices.
If only politicians and other senators would hearken to this advice, most of the country’s problems would be solved.
