The commuters who ply the Oshodi-Apapa expressway can be comforted as the road is among the list of projects to be funded by the Federal Government’s N350billion stimulus fund.
Port users can take solace in the fact that the N10bn earmarked for the road would ensure the restructuring of the road which has been characterized by massive pot-holes and grueling traffic jam.
Other projects to be funded with the N350bn include the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Second Niger Bridge, the Enugu-Port Harcourt Road, Sokoto-Kontagora Road, the Ilorin-Jebba Road, the Ikot-Ekene Road, among others.
While we hope that the project doesn’t get abandoned by contractors, we admonish the contractors to have the interest of the nation at heart and execute the projects to the latter.
