The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Col. Hammed Ali (Rtd) took a giant step in his much verbalized war against corruption in the Customs when he gave a 14-day ultimatum for all senior officers of the Customs Service to make full disclosure of their assets. We commend the efforts of the Comptroller-General even as we anticipate the outcome of the initiative as the deadline for compliance approaches next week. There is no doubt that several bigwigs in the Customs will have some explaining to do very soon as he good eggs would soon be separated from the bad, we hope the CGC enforces this to the latter.
