MMS Plus observed the professional conducts of Men of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone “A”, Ikeja on Thursday.
The officers had trailed a suspected smuggler and intercepted him around Ijesha along Oshodi-Apapa expressway around 3:45 pm.
MMS Plus correspondent decided to watch incognito “without revealing his identity” to know what the event would turn out to be. They diplomatically stopped the motorcycle loaded with about 8 bags of foreign parboiled rice without necessarily exerting force. The rider was obviously trying to evade arrest having realized that the FOU patrol van was monitoring him.
The manner with which the operation was carried out was quite commendable and we encourage them to do more without recording innocent casualties!
