BEARS thumbs Down NRC Over Missing Goods

MMS Plus was in one of the offices in the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) Headquarters on Tuesday when two men barged in with an obvious reflection of sadness on their faces. “Where is Goke and Tobi, I will show them pepper today” one of them roared in desperation to fight. After a while, ever inquisitive MMS Plus walked up to him and inquired what the issue was and realized that the man who is a regular NRC customer had complained of missing goods since 2016 without any solution.

Mr. Segun Baruwa Omolola said he complained of a missing carton of torchlights among the nine sent from Minna on 19th October, 2106 at the Ebute Metta Station in Lagos where upon several visits he was referred to Iddo and subsequently the Assistant Director Marketing’s office at NRC headquarters without any solution till date.

“The price of a carton is over N100,000 but with the inflation rate in Nigeria now, it would have gone twice higher than its initial price. I don’t know why they are tossing me around like a dice but I am ready to go to any length to recover my goods” Mr Baruwa said.

I hope this is not part of the fraud on the trains. Isn’t this another form of the decadence in the Nigerian railway transport system?
