As the Federal Government initiates plans to arm aviation security personnel in the country, a critical look at the situation indicate that it might turn out to be a bad idea after all. This is because most times officers with guns could become trigger happy and their action might end up in disaster. It is also not the conventional practice in other climes to find aviation personnel armed. So, the Federal Government needs to be cautious as it ponders this idea. The issues with gun control in United States of America (USA) also points to the fact that guns don’t guarantee safety; in fact they lead to a higher level of violence in society.
