BEARS: Careless Railway Boy

Residents of Ijora_Badia, Apapa/Iganmu Local Government Area were thrown into mourning as a youngman carelessly lost his life to a moving train crush.

Eyewitness narrated that the unidentified youngman was walking majestically on the railway track along Ijora-Badia behind SIFAX Groups’ company when the the train crushed him to death. He was said to be putting on his headphone probably listening to music when the incident happened. According the the eyewitness, who spoke to MMS plus anonymously, she said efforts  made at calling the youngman’s  attention to the approaching train was futile.

“We shouted and shouted and people even went to tap him so that he could leave the track but he didnt answer them until the moving train crushed him. The reasons for his action, i can’t  tell” she said.

MMS Plus learnt that his corpse was just laid beside the rail track until it was moved away by the police after two days.

“The level of recklesseness among our youths is becoming alarming and something has to be done.

this is simply not government’s fault but irrationality on the part of the victim. we must learn to be careful”. An elderly man who witnessed the incident remarked.
