AIB Investigates NCAT Aircraft Accident

Global air accident reduces, says US agency

The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has commenced investigations into the accident involving  a Tampico (TB9) aircraft marked 5N-CBP belonging to the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria.

General Manager, Public Affairs, AIB,Tunji Oketunbi gave the hint in a statement adding that the safety investigators have commenced investigation.

The accident which occured on the on 1st March, 2019 at Rumi forest, Sabon Birnin,Birnin Gwari LGA, Kaduna State recorded no fatality.

Meanwhile, NCAT has said that the aircraft was on a Test Flight which was conducted by a Pilot and an Engineer. They also noted that the aircraft was force landed at 14:40 as a result of an engine failure.
